St. John's Fog Devils News Release
The St. John's Fog Devils begin the Best-of-7 First Round President's Cup Playoffs on Friday when the team plays the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles Centre 200 in Sydney, NS.
The Fog Devils make its first appearance in the President's Cup playoffs after finishing the season in 6th place in the East Division with a 30-34-5-1 record (66PTS). The Fog Devils finished the season on a 2 game winning streak and with a 9 game home winning streak intact. The club also finished the year ranked among the top first year QMJHL in wins, points and attendance.
St. John's was led by Oscar Sundh (17-46=63) and Scott Brophy (23-34=57). The Screaming Eagles finished in 3rd place in the East Division with a 40-23-3-4 record (87PTS), the second best finish ever for the franchise . The Screaming Eagles were led by Kevin Asselin (44-44=88).
These 2 clubs met 8 times during the season, with both winning 4 games.
St. John's will host Game 3 on Tuesday, March 28th, Game 4 on Wednesday, March 29th and Game 5 (if necessary) on Saturday, April 1st. Below is the complete schedule for the series and starting times.
