MAINEiacs Playoff Drive Opens at home Tomorrow Night - March 24th

Lewiston, ME - The Lewiston MAINEiacs open the 2006 post season on home-ice tomorrow night as they play host the Halifax Mooseheads at the Colisée at 7:00 pm. Lewiston's 83 regular season points was good enough for 4th position in the Eastern Division, 1 place ahead of Halifax awarding them home-ice advantage in the opening round.

The first 3,000 fans through the turnstile tomorrow night will be given a blue and white "rooter pom" to help cheer on the home team.

Game two of the series is the following night: Saturday, March 25th with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 pm at the Colisée. Tickets for both games are currently on sale at the Colisée Box Office which is open until 6:00 pm this evening and reopens on tomorrow on gameday at 9:00 am. On Saturday, the Box Office opens at 3:00 pm. Fans can also purchase tickets 24/7 online at www.thecolisee.com or by calling 1-877-GO-TIX-GO.

Following games 1 and 2, the MAINEiacs will head to Nova Scotia on Sunday to get a few practices in before playing game 3 at the Halifax Forum on Tuesday, March 28th. Game 4 follows on Thursday, March 30 and game 5 if required will take place on Saturday, April 1st. All games in Halifax are scheduled to commence at 7:00 pm AST (6:00 pm EST). Should games 6 and 7 be required, they will both take place back in Lewiston, on Monday, April 3rd and Tuesday, April 4th.

As always, fans can follow the games on the road by tuning into the CNN 1240 with the pre-game show starting ½ hour before game time.
