Fog Devils prepare for Selection Camp

The St. John's Fog Devils prepare to open its first ever Selection Camp on tomorrow, Wednesday, August 17 at the Mount Pearl Glacier. Fifty-Seven (57) have been invited to camp in the hope of being named to the roster of the inaugural season of the Hockey Club. Of the 57 invitees, twenty-three (23) are from Newfoundland and Labrador, that includes the fourteen (14) players selected during this week's Newfoundland Dream Shot Camp.

Training Camp runs through September 11th with one of the highlights being the Red/White Intersquad Game that takes place on August 19th starting at 8:00pm. All sessions of the Training Camp are open to the public.

The club plays seven (7) preseason games, including four (4) games in Newfoundland - August 27th and 28th against the Halifax Mooseheads (in St. John's) and September 10th and 11th against the Ottawa 67's (in Corner Brook).

The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League. The franchise begins its inaugural season in September and plays its Home Opener, September 23rd against the Lewiston MAINEiacs.
