Newfoundlander Scott Brophy Named First Captain in Franchise History Numerical Roster Also set for Opening Game Against Saint John

The St. John's Fog Devils announced today that Scott Brophy has been named the first captain in franchise history.

Brophy is entering his third QMJHL season after playing the last two (2) seasons with the Gatineau Olympiques, including an appearance in the Memorial Cup during the 2003-04 season. He was the Fog Devils' 1st choice in the 2005 QMJHL Expansion Draft, thus becoming the very first player and first Newfoundlander to wear the Fog Devils jersey.

The club also announced that Marty Doyle, Zac Firlotte and Nicolas Bachand will be the club's Assistant Captains this season.

Please find attached the numerical roster for the club's inaugural game set for this Friday, September 16 in Harbour Station against the Saint John Sea Dogs.

The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League. The franchise plays its Home Opener, September 23rd against the Lewiston MAINEiacs.
