November 28, 2006 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release
Fargo (ND) The Fargo-Moorhead Jets are only days away from facing Team USA in a special exhibition game at the Carlson Coliseum. Face-off is scheduled for 8pm on Saturday night as the FM Jets look to become the first Junior A team to defeat Team USA since March.
As expected with a squad the caliber of Team USA coming to town, fans can expect to see many future NHL stars wearing the Red, White and Blue. However, fans can also expect many promotions surrounding the game as well.
Opening ceremonies will begin at 7:45pm with full player introductions, a special entrance by Ace the Eagle and local dignitaries. During the game, to honor one of America's culinary delicacies, there will be a burger eating contest sponsored by Ruby Tuesday. Also, all kids are encouraged to stop by Ace's Fun Station and write letters that will be sent to troops overseas.
Then after the game, all fans are invited to stick around and test their skill by taking shots on the FM Jets' goaltenders.
Tickets for the game are selling briskly, but are still available by either calling the office at 235-2354, or by going directly to the Carlson Coliseum box office.
