Flying Tigers Set to Open Four-Game Homestand on Friday

Lakeland, FL - The Lakeland Flying Tigers return home for a four-game homestand beginning Friday, August 14 with the Brevard County Manatees. Tickets for the series and all home games are available by calling the Flying Tigers at (863) 686-8075. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5 and seniors 55 and over and children 14 and under receive a $1.00 discount. Saturday tickets are an additional $1. Parking is FREE.

Friday, August 14 vs. Brevard County Manatees @ 7:00 p.m. (Gates open at 6:00 p.m.) Join the Flying Tigers for a special happy hour from 6:00-7:30 p.m. sponsored by Budweiser. There will be beer specials and free samples of Select 55, Budweiser's new smooth, light golden lager with only 55 calories. Special 12 oz. Select 55 cans will be available for only $3 from 6:00-7:30 pm as well as 16 oz. drafts of Bud American Ale. Quantities of samples and specials are limited and available while supplies last.

The first 500 paid fans will receive a Lakeland Flying Tigers second-half team photo. Kids eat free at all Friday home games as well. All kids 14 and under will receive a free hot dog, soda and bag of chips with paid admission. The Flying Tigers have partnered with the SPCA for "Bark in the Park" Night. There will be special contests and prizes for dogs and owners.

Saturday, August 15 vs. Brevard County Manatees @ 6:00 p.m. (Gates open at 5:00 p.m.) The Flying Tigers will be celebrating "Elvis Night". There will be special Elvis themed games, contests and music as well as an appearance the "king" himself. The Flying Tigers have also partnered with the ALS Society to help educate fans and bring awareness to "Lou Gehrig's Disease". The Flying Tigers will also be hosting Prostate Awareness Night at Marchant Stadium. Following the game will be a spectacular fireworks show (weather permitting) sponsored by The Ledger.

Sunday, August 16 vs. Brevard County Manatees @ 6:00 p.m. (Gates open at 5:00 p.m.) Sunday is Family Fun Day. All kids 14 and under will receive free admission to the game. Kids can also play catch on the field before the game and run the bases after the game (weather permitting). All fans will receive a voucher for a free sundae compliments of Dairy Queen.

Monday, August 17 vs. Clearwater Threshers @ 7:00 p.m. (Gates open at 6:00 p.m.) Monday is $1 hot dog night. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs all night. Also, check The Ledger for a special two-for-one ticket offer.

Flying Tigers are collecting Back to School Supplies for Kids Help the Flying Tigers help needy Polk County children. The Flying Tigers are collecting back to school supplies for local children. There is a collection bin at the main gate at Marchant Stadium for those that would like to contribute.
