
Flying Tigers Partner With Florida Department of Transportation

Lakeland, FL - The Florida Department of Transportation Safety Office has partnered with the Lakeland Flying Tigers to encourage Flying Tigers fans to buckle up. Local law enforcement will be "ticketing" motorists and their passengers for wearing their seat belts in the "You have been ticketed" promotion. On Friday, July 18th, local law enforcement personnel will distribute tickets for a future Flying Tigers game to fans that are caught wearing their seat belt. In addition, on Saturday, August 30th, the first 1,000 fans who pledge to wear their seat belt every trip, every time, day and night will receive a Flying Tigers buckle up logo baseball. The game starts at 6:00 p.m. and the gates open at 5:00 p.m. As an additional reminder for fans, the Flying Tigers have hung banners at the stadium exits reminding fans to "buckle up." The Flying Tigers are also making public address announcements reminding fans about the importance of wearing a seat belt every trip, every time, day and night because seat belts save lives. The Flying Tigers return to Joker Marchant Stadium for a four game homestand beginning on Wednesday, July 16th at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday is All-You-Can-Eat Night. Tickets are only $10 (price includes admission and unlimited food, while supplies last). Our all-you-can-eat menu features hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, peanuts, pretzels, potato chips, and popcorn. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets for the upcoming homestand and for all remaining home games can be purchased in the "Tickets" section at www.LakelandFlyingTigers.com and at the Joker Marchant Stadium Box Office located at 2301 Lakeland Hills Boulevard in Lakeland.
