WINNIPEG - The Goldeyes took advantage of eight walks and scored single runs in seven of eight frames to top the Flyers 7-2 Sunday at Canwest Park in Winnipeg.

Cory Patton led off the first inning against Flyers starter Alain Quijano with the first of his three walks on the day, and came around to score on Juan Diaz's RBI single down the right field line.

The Flyers answered right back in the top of the second. Jeff Dunbar and Felix Jose led off with back-to-back singles, and Lyndon Poole sacrificed them over in front of Richard Mercado. Mercado grounded out to short to score Dunbar from third, tying it up at 1-1.

Quijano worked a 1-2-3 second, the only inning the Goldeyes would go scoreless in. Patton would lead off the third with another walk, and score on Kevin West's first hit of the series to make it 2-1.

The Goldeyes loaded the bases in the fourth, and with two outs, Tony Mansolino mishandled a grounder allowing Kurt Crowell to score, putting the Goldeyes up 3-1.

Solo homers from West and Patton in the fifth and sixth made it 5-1. An Adam Frost bases loaded walk knocked in West in the seventh, and a Josh Asanovich double scored Patton to complete the Goldeyes scoring.

Victor Ferrante tripled home Antoan Richardson in the eighth to bring the game to it's final margin. Ferrante was the only Flyer with multiple hits, going 2-4. West led the way for Winnipeg, going 3-5 with two runs and two driven in.

Quijano (3-5) takes the loss, allowing four runs - three earned - on five hits in 4.2 innings of work. Pulsipher improves to 2-0 with seven innings of five-hit, one-run ball.

The Flyers will head home to Alexian Field for a four-game set against Fargo-Moorhead with RHP Ed Almonte (4-9, 5.16) throwing for the Flyers against LHP Jeff Icenogle (2-0, 7.93). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
