Flyers Sweep the St. George Roadrunners

The Flyers took advantage of the Roadrunners shaky pitching to post their first consecutive wins streak of 2007 by a score of 8-5.

Roadrunners starting pitcher Mike Peck (0-2) gave up four earned runs in the first inning after walking four batters and hitting one. Peck only lasted two-thirds of an inning after throwing 44 pitches.

Riche Pohle went 2-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Peanut Williams, Gabriel Mayorga and Mark Okano each added two hits for the Flyers.

The player of the game, Nick Casanova, pitched three and two-thirds of scoreless baseball for his first win of the season. Casanova did not allow a runner to reach base.

Dave Coggin finished the evening off with his first save of the season.
