Flyers pull even with Outlaws

Well, after 36 games this half, and 76 games overall this season, the Flyers and the Chico Outlaws are dead even at 23-13, with just 4 games to go!

We beat Long Beach last night 9-6, and Reno held on to beat Chico 12-10. The Flyers win combined with the Outlaws loss puts both teams at 23-13 in the race for the 2nd half GBL Title!

We play Long Beach one more time tonight down at Blair Field, while Chico and Reno now head to Chico to continue their 8-games in 7 days marathon. Reno leads that series 3-1. We lead the Fullerton vs. Long Beach series 3-0.

Tomorrow morning we board the Downey Savings/Fullerton Flyers team bus at Goodwin Field at 10 AM and head to Yuma for our final three regular season games. We would love to see a bunch of you at the bus in Lot G at Cal State Fullerton (behind the left field wall off of Yorba Linda Blvd) at 10 AM to see us off! These guys have played their hearts out, and we now have a chance to go to Yuma and win this thing!

The bottom line this weekend is that we need to win one more time than Chico does. As mentioned before, they hold the tie-breaker, so we must finish 1, or more, games ahead of them to play Reno next week for the GBL Championship! The way our guys are playing, we are not even concerned with what Chico does. We know we have to take care of business, and so far this week we have been perfect.
