Flyers First 4-Game Streak

The Flyers pounded the Reno Silver Sox 10-4 Saturday to win their fourth consecutive game for the first time in franchise history. Trevor Hall drove in five runs and drilled a three-run homerun to lead the Fullerton attack.

The Flyers stayed hot at Goodwin Field by taking the second game of a three game series with the Reno Silver Sox 10-4. Jeff Groeger threw six quality innings, while giving up six hits and three earned runs. Groeger struck out six batters and did not walk any.

Reed Dickert and Nick Casanova combined to throw three scoreless innings of relief, while striking out two and walking zero.

The Flyers scored four runs in the 1st inning behind a three-run homerun from Trevor Hall and an RBI double by Peanut Williams.

They were up 4-3 in the 3rd inning when they scored five runs to break the game open. Peanut, Rich Pohle, Hall and Hector Zamora strung together hits to start the rally.

The rally was capped by a Garry Templeton II RBI triple.

Trevor Hall drove home Peanut Williams in the 4th inning to put Fullerton in front 10-4.

Reno's starter Carlos Chavez came in with a 3.32 era, but he only made it through three innings before getting relief help from Nat Harris.

The Flyers will look for the first sweep in franchise history Sunday at 6 pm when Jeremy Sugarman takes the ball.

The Flyers moved to 7-6 in the second half.
