Orange County Flyers News Release

The Orange County Flyers pushed their record to 4-5 with a 7-3 win at Blair Field Saturday night. Robert Salini pitched six strong innings to earn his second victory.

The Flyers got a clutch two-RBI single from Aaron Davis to break a 3-3 tie in the 6th inning and received sterling relief work to finish off the Long Beach Armada.

Brandon Thompson pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Salini and Dave Coggin closed the Flyers second road win of 2007.

The Flyers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 2nd inning. Buddy Morales and Davis keyed the outburst with extra-base hits.

The Flyers added two insurance runs in the 9th inning when Garry Templeton II slammed an RBI double and was driven in by Scott Goodman.

SP Justin Ramsey was knocked out in the 6th inning and took the loss for the Armada.

The Armada tied the game with a three-run 3rd inning rally. John Kaplan and Chris Wakeland drove in the runs.

The rubber match will take place Sunday at Goodwin Field. Alex McRobbie will take to the hill for the Flyers at 2 p.m.

All the action will be carried on orangecountyflyers.com.
