
Flyers dealt first loss

Orange County Flyers News Release
The Yuma Scorpions rallied for 5 runs in the eigth inning to hand the Flyers their first loss of the season 5-2 in El Centro, CA Thursday night.
Matthew Merricks pitched six shutout innings for the Flyers but the bullpen surrendered the 2-0 lead. Hanzel Diaz cracked the go-ahead grand slam for the Scorpions in the 8th inning.
Brian Rios and Patrick Breen each hit solo home runs for the Flyers.
The Yuma Scorpions hosted the game as apart of a five game series in El Centro, CA this season.
Orange County (4-1) will look to return to their winning ways when they send Jeremy Zick to the mound Friday night in Yuma.
