Flyers Announce New Handicap Club Seating

June 25, 2009 - Northern League (NL)
Schaumburg Flyers News Release

SCHAUMBURG, IL - The Schaumburg Flyers are proud to announce the launch of handicap club seating at Alexian Field.

"We didn't think it was fair that people with disabilities have always been limited to sitting in the last row at ballparks," said Flyers General Manager Ben Burke. "So, we decided to design a special section. Now, those with disabilities can enjoy the very best seats in the house."

The new section is indeed the best that Alexian Field has to offer. Located directly behind home plate, the Flyers' handicap club seating is actually in front of the first row, and provides a view of the action that is second to none (see photo).

"The Schaumburg Flyers organization has been proactive in welcoming children, teens and adults with disabilities," said Northwest Special Recreation Association Director Susie K. Julison. "The new accessible seating will be easy to reach, is fully accessible and provides the best view of the game. We commend their approach to provide access that is front and center!"
