
Florida State League Names Players of the Week

The Florida State League named today the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period May 5- May 11, 2014.
The Player of the Week was Clearwater Threshers Outfielder Peter Lavin. He collected 12 hits in 24 plate appearances for a .500 batting average. His hits included two homeruns and one double. He had two RBI's and scored four times. He also had four stolen bases. His OBP was .538 and his slugging average was .792. Pete is in his fourth year of professional baseball and he resides in Pico Rivera, CA.
The Pitcher of the Week was Brevard County Manatees Lefthander Jed Bradley for the second time this season. He started one game, recorded a win and had a 0.00 ERA. In six and two thirds innings pitched he allowed two hits, gave up two walks, and struck out seven batters. This is his third year of professional baseball and he resides in Huntsville, AL.
