
Florida Firecats Move Into Tie for Sixth in Week Sixteen Coaches Poll

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats received 311 points to finish in a tie for sixth in the Week Sixteen Coaches Poll, the arenafootball2 (af2) league office announced today. The Firecats (9-4) moved up one spot into a tie with the Green Bay Blizzard (9-4) after a hard fought 41-35 victory at division rival Daytona Beach last Thursday.
By securing 438 out of a possible 448 points, the Spokane Shock remained in the top spot in the poll for the second consecutive week. After a week off during the holiday weekend, the Shock (12-1) return to action on Saturday at Stockton. The rest of the top-5 remained unchanged this week as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (11-2), Tulsa (11-2), South Georgia (9-4) and Arkansas (9-4) all had byes in week 15.
Each week during the season, af2 coaches vote for the Top 16 teams in the league by ranking them one through 16. The complete Top 16 is listed below. The number in parentheses indicates the number of first place votes the team received.
