TODAY'S GAMES: Games one and two of a four-game series against the Bradenton Marauders (PIT) at Osceola County Stadium...Games two and three of a rain-shortened, five-game homestand against the Charlotte Stone Crabs (TB) and Marauders (PIT) (0-1)...Florida is coming off an 0-1 series loss to the Stone Crabs at home...Third, and final, series (12 games) against the Pittsburgh Pirates' affiliate, with eight matchups taking place in Kissimmee...The Atlanta Braves' affiliate split a four-game series against Charlotte at Osceola County Stadium from June 12-14.

TODAY'S STARTING PITCHERS: 20-year-old Ian Anderson makes his 18th start of 2018 in the series opener against the Bradenton Marauders on Friday afternoon...The 6'3" hurler came into the campaign as the Atlanta Braves' fifth-ranked prospect according to Baseball America, and is currently third according MLB.com, and is the 40th-ranked (MLB.com) overall rated prospect in baseball...The native of Rexford, N.Y. did not factor into the decision of an 11-3 victory over the Clearwater Thershers at Osceola County Stadium on July 14...The right-hander allwed just two runs - one earned - on five hits, three walks and eight strikeouts across six quality innings on 94 pitches (67 strikes)...Friday will be Anderson's third career start against the Marauders...The third-overall pick of the 2016 draft has allowed three runs on nine hits, six walks and seven strikeouts across nine innings (two starts) against the Pittsburgh Pirates' affiliate in 2018. Anderson faced off against Bradenton at Osceola County Stadium on June 12, allowing a run on four hits, three walks and two strikeouts in just two innings of work.

23-year-old Jeremy Walker makes his 20th start of 2018 in the back end of the doubleheader against the Bradenton Marauders on Friday night...The 6'5" hurler did not factor into the decision of a 2-1 loss to the Clearwater Threshers on July 21 at Spectrum Field...The right-hander allowed an unearned run in the first innings, but held the Threshers off the scoreboard through his remaining six innings of work, scattering five hits and striking out four on 90 pitches (64 strikes)...Friday will be Walker's second start against the Marauders...The product of Gardner-Webb suffered the loss in a 5-2 defeat at LECOM Park on June 4...The Advance, N.C. native surrendered two runs on five hits, three free passes and four punchouts across thre frames.

BIG INNINGS BURN FIRE FROGS ON TUESDAY: The Florida Fire Frogs fell behind early after allowing four runs in the top of the first inning of a seven-frame contest against the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Tuesday afternoon.

Braxton Davidson tagged a two-run homer in the bottom of the third to bring the home team within two, but the visitors plated six runs in the top of the fourth to break the game open. Charlotte plated another run in the sixth against Chase Johnson-Mullins for the game's final tally.

SETTING THE PACE: Cristian Pache singled on an 0-2 pitch against former Braves' reliever Jonny Venters for his lone hit of the day...The 19-year-old is competing with Stone Crabs' outfielder/designated hitter Jesus Sanchez for the most hits in the league...Pache now has 102 knocks on the year, while Sanchez has 99 after picking up a two-run single in the first.

WELCOME BACK, SEAN MAC!: Sean McLaughlin tossed 1.1 innings of relief of Tucker Davidson in the series opener, allowing an inherited runner to score...The product of Georgia gave up one hit and walked two during his first game back with Florida since being transferred back to the High-A level after 11 games at the Double-A level...The right-hander posted a 1-3 record with a 1.75 ERA (5er/25.2ip) during his first 19 games of the season with the Fire Frogs.
