
Florida acquires McNeil

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 21 - The Florida Flame has acquired forward Jeremy McNeil from the NBA Development League available player pool and released center Corey Sanders.
McNeil, a 6-8, 280-pound second-year pro from Syracuse, was originally selected by Roanoke in the second round (13th overall) of the 2005 D-League Draft and competed in the Dazzle's training camp before being waived November 10. Last season he played with the Kentucky Colonels of the American Basketball Association, averaging 13.7 points and 6.5 rebounds in 16 games.
McNeil is expected to be in uniform for Florida (21-19) when the Flame hosts Roanoke (22-20) on Friday. He will wear jersey No. 34.
Sanders appeared in six games with the Flame, averaging 22.2 minutes, 3.2 points and 5.5 rebounds.
