
Florian, Luka Receive Honorable Mentions from NAHL

Dom Florian, forward, and Nico Luka, defenseman, receive honorable mentions for their efforts this past weekend against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.  Florian, Luka and the rest of the Chill players split the series against the Ice Dogs, winning 5-4 in overtime on Friday night and falling by a score of 2-3 on Saturday night.
Florian, native of Vlasim, CZE, was a key component in the 5-4 victory against the Ice Dogs on Friday night.  He contributed two goals and two assists throughout the game for a total of four points. His goals came in the first period (power-play goal) and also late in the third to give the Chill the lead before the Ice Dogs scored late with an extra attacker to take the game into overtime.  Florian was then responsible for assisting forward Michael Wilson on the game-winning goal.  On Saturday night Florian contributed an assist on a Justin Kendall goal.  Florian finished with two goals and three assists for five points on the weekend with a -1 +/-.
Luka, of Bartlett, IL, was also an imporant asset to the victory on Friday night. Â He assisted on the two Florian goals and finished the night with a +3 +/-. Â On Saturday night Luka assisted along with Florian on Kendalls goal in the first period, finishing with three assists and a +3 +/- on the weekend split.
