Kuzmeski Makes NCAA D1 Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Shane Kuzmeski has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Clarkson University.

Kuzmeski, 20, just completed his second season playing in the NAHL and first season with the Chill. The native of Grayslake, Illinois, appeared in 45 regular season games with Coulee Region this past season and recorded 29 points (5 goals, 24 assists).

"The Chill organization is very excited for Shane and his commitment to Clarkson University. We were happy to be apart of his development and ultimately helping him reach his goal of playing hockey at the NCAA Division I level. The Chill staff and its fans will look forward to watching Shane on his journey as a Golden Knight," said Chill head coach Ryan Egan.

During the 2014-15 season, Kuzmeski (6'2/185) played his rookie season with the Wichita Falls Wildcats, recording 23 points in 55 games played. In total, Kuzmeski appeared in 100 career NAHL games and had 52 career points. He also had five points (all goals) in 10 career playoff games.

Prior to playing in the NAHL for the Chill and Wildcats, Kuzmeski played for the Northwood School and Team Illinois.

He is the 13th player from the Chill this past season to make an NCAA commitment.
