FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the International Hockey League found week #22 tough on enemy ice. Rookie Maxime Lincourt had the hot-hand for the Generals with 2 goals against the Kalamazoo Wings. Here is a look back at last week's action.

Friday, March 20, 2009 -- Flint 0 @ Muskegon 5 - The Generals put some early pressure on Muskegon goaltender Clayton Pool with 13 first period shots but could not score. That could have been the difference early in this game as the Generals fell behind 2-0 after the first period, and gave up 3 more in the second period. Flint outshot Muskegon 35-26 and had some good chances early.

Saturday, March 21, 2009 -- Flint 6 @ Kalamazoo 7 -- Rookie forward Maxime Lincourt had a 3-point night scoring the first 2 goals of the game (short-handed and power play). Flint had a 2-1 lead after the first period and a 3-1 lead early in the second period on a Greg Bullock (22) goal.

Flint gave up the last 3 goals of the second period and trailed 4-3 heading into the third period. The Generals fell behind 5-3 early in the third period but fought back to tie it on goals by Justin Styffe (5) and Fenton area native Mike Podelnyk (1). Kalamazoo responded with 2 quick goals of their own to take a 7-5 third period lead. Flint's Travis Hanson (3) scored with just under 10:00 remaining to draw the Generals to within 1 goal at 7-6. The Generals pulled goaltender Chad Alban for the extra attacker in the final moments but could not force overtime.
