FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the International Hockey League finally post a record of 1-1-0-0 in action last week. Here is a look back.

Friday, March 13, 2009 - Muskegon 4 @ Flint 5 - The Flint Generals trailed 4-1 in the second period before coming back with 4 consecutive goals for the come-from-behind victory. This was their third of the season when trailing after 40 minutes. Jordan Boman (4) scored the game-winning goal, short-handed with 8:00 minutes remaining in regulation time. Other goal scorers were Frank Littlejohn (24), Maxime Lincourt (18), Joel Gasper (8) and Paul Holder (1). Goaltender Chad Alban turned aside 31 of 35 shots for the Generals.

Saturday, March 14, 2009 - Flint 1 @ Port Huron 9 - Zach Pearson (11) scored the only goal for the Generals. This was the first game between the two teams since the trade made several weeks ago that brought Jeff Zehr to Flint in return for Steve Rymsha.

Rookie of the Week Nomination - Center Jordan Boman is our nominee for the Aquafina/IHL Rookie of the Week ending March 15, 2009. Boman registered 1 goal and 1 assist. The rookie from Berkley, MI scored the game-winning, short-handed goal versus Muskegon on Friday and had an assist on the Zach Pearson goal in Port Huron on Saturday night.

Player of the Week Nomination - Left Wing Jeff Zehr is our nominee for the Pepsi/IHL Player of the Week ending March 15, 2009. Zehr had 2 assists in the Generals victory over Muskegon on Friday night.

Goaltender of the Week Nomination - Chad Alban is our nominee for the Southern Sports Supply/IHL Goaltender of the Week. Alban backstopped Flint's 5-4 victory over Muskegon on Friday night with the 31 saves.

Up Next: The Generals are on the road for two games this week. Flint is at Muskegon on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. The Generals wrap up their week of action on Saturday, March 21, 2009 against the Kalamazoo Wings at 7:30 p.m. Tune in to all the action on WFNT-1470 AM (The B-2 Network & www.flintgenerals.com) with the "Countdown to Faceoff" Pre-Game Show airing 20 minutes prior to face off.

Look Ahead: After this upcoming week on the road, the Generals will prepare for 4 games in 5 nights in the last week of March. Flint will be on the road for two games in Fort Wayne on Wednesday, March 25th at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, March 27th at 7:30 p.m. That is followed by our 2 home games at Perani Arena to wrap up the month on Saturday, March 28th against Kalamazoo at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 29th against Fort Wayne at 4:00 p.m.

2009-10 Season Tickets - The Flint Generals announce season tickets for the 2009-10 campaign are now on sale at General Rally's Surplus Store at Perani Arena. This is the Spring Special from now until May 31st. Your choice of seat in the house for $228.00.

Generals Invite You - The Generals will host "Best Seat in the House Night" to celebrate our new season and the support of our business partners and sponsors.

This will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. prior to the start of the Generals' game against Kalamazoo at 7:30 p.m.

We encourage everyone to come to the arena a couple of hours early to meet our sponsors and business partners. Check out the products they have to offer.
