
Flight welcomes aboard new corporate members to the Flight Partners Club

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., October 18, 2002 â The Huntsville Flight today announced it has reached agreements with over 50 local businesses, expanding the existing Flight sponsorship roster. New local partnerships include quick service and family restaurants, financial institutions, printers, graphic designers, media outlets, wireless providers, healthcare providers and insurance agencies. Additional companies are expected to join prior to the Huntsville Flight 2002-2003 regular season. The Huntsville Flight regular season tips-off on the road in Roanoke, Virginia where the Flight will do battle with the Dazzle, Friday, November 15, 2002. The Flight's home opener is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 7:30 p.m. at the Von Braun Center.
Flight Team President Kellie Elliott commented that the new alliance with local partners elevates the Flight's presence in the Tennessee Valley. "We are pleased with our current roster of local businesses," said Elliott. "The opportunity to strengthen our relationship with local business community is a major component to our success."
Local packages feature various elements, including Von Braun Center fixed and courtside rotational signage, program advertisements, hospitality, season ticket packages and "Flight Community Connection" amenities. The "Flight Community Connection" umbrella includes the NBDL/Huntsville Flight Read to Achieve program, Jumpball Clinics, School Days events, Prep Sportsmanship Awards, Heroes Among Us and Girls Take Flight programs.

Designed to help grow the sport of basketball both domestically and internationally, the NBDL serves as a source of on-court talent for the NBA's 29 teams and as a diverse human resources pool for the NBA and its teams by training employees in management, operations, public relations, sales and marketing positions in each NBDL city.
