HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 29 ? The Huntsville Flight held the Fayetteville Patriots to 14 fourth quarter points en route to a 94-84 victory at the Von Braun Center in National Basketball Development League action.

With the Flight leading 75-70 after three periods, Earl Barron and Austin Nichols provided a spark off the bench, scoring 10 of Huntsville?s 19 points in the fourth. The Flight held the Patriots to just 4 field goals in 20 attempts in the period. Huntsville out-rebounded Fayetteville 19-13 in the fourth, and had a 48-37 advantage overall.

The Flight built a 66-50 lead with 6:18 to play in the third quarter, but were unable to put the Patriots away. During a four-minute stretch in the third, Fayetteville trimmed the margin to 71-68 with less than two minutes left in the quarter.

?I didn?t like the way we let them back in it in the third, but I was happy with the way took control down the stretch,? Flight head coach Ralph Lewis said.

Bernard King led the Flight with 19 points, and Mengke Bateer finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Rodney Bias had another solid performance on the boards with 14 rebounds to go along with his 11 points.

David Young?s 24 points led four Patriots in double figures. Omar Cook finished with 10 points and 13 assists.

The Flight again host the Patriots on Wednesday morning with a special 11 a.m. tip-off as part of the Flight?s ?School Days? series. More than 1,500 elementary and middle school students from the Tennessee Valley will take a field trip to the game.
