Flight To Hold Events Around 'Great Outdoors Night' March 15

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Mar. 5, 2003) – In conjunction with its nationally televised ESPN 2 Mar. 15 game, the Huntsville Flight has planned several events around that night's theme - "Great Outdoors Night."

The week's activities get started Tuesday, Mar. 11, as the Flight players and staff along with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Huntsville will team with Huntsville mayor Loretta Spencer's Operation Green Team, in a "Courtside Community Cleanup." The pickup is slated from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

On gameday, the Flight staff will be handing out trash bags as well as Flight bucket hats from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the VBC in support of the 50th anniversary of the Great American Cleanup that will be taking place that day.

In addition, the Flight along with Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI) will be coordinating a recycling effort. For those individuals who bring in a recyclable item, the Flight will make available $5 lower bowl tickets to that evening's game.
