
Flight Survives Late Run to End Losing Streak

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Feb. 26, 2003) â Jermaine Walker led five Huntsville players in double figures as the Flight garnered a 81-79 NBDL victory over the Mobile Revelers here Wednesday night at the Von Braun Center.
The Flight (18-23) snapped a franchise record-tying, seven-game losing streak as they beat the Revelers for the second straight time.
"They guys played hard and they're tired of losing," Flight coach Ralph Lewis said about breaking the string. "They wanted to get a win and they got one. We are 1-0 right now with nine to play and that is the way we are looking at it â forget about the past but instead look to the future and try to focus ourselves for a playoff run."
Joining Walker in double figures for the Flight were A.J. Guyton and Lonnie Harrell with 12 points each, while Demtric Shaw added 11 and Ron Riley 10.
The Revelers (19-19) lost for the sixth straight time as Cedric Henderson tallied a game-high 20 points, as Isaac Fontaine recorded 19 and Shea Seals 11 off the bench.
Down 79-68 with 1:36 to play, Mobile rallied six straight points coming from a Fontaine 3-pointer and a three-point play by Henderson. Shaw stopped the hit a running lay-up with 28 seconds to play to put the Flight up 81-74. The Revelers continue their rally Seals hit a pair of free throws and then a 3-pointer with less than three seconds left.
"We didn't give up and that is the main thing," Revelers coach Sam Vincent said. "We fought, played hard to the end but we have got to find a way to get over the hump. Whether or not we have the team we have the team that can do it I am not sure. But we are going to keep playing hard."
