(Orlando, FL) - Effective immediately, the Florida Flight have officially partnered with the Christian Laettner Basketball Academy.

The Academy, run by Olympic Gold medalist (member of the original "Dream Team"), two-time NCAA Champion and 13-year NBA veteran Christian Laettner, seeks to provide a fun, learning environment for devoted, committed basketball players wanting to improve their game.

In conjunction with the partnership, the Christian Laettner Basketball Academy becomes an official Flight Sponsor for the 2011 season. Laettner and the Flight will set up multiple Academy basketball camps throughout Central Florida.

Laettner will also make a personal appearance at the And 1 Live CBL Tour Game on April 6, 2011. The game will be held at Avalon Middle School within the Avalon Park community of East Orlando. Laettner will be there to sign autographs and promote his upcoming basketball camps to be announced at a later date. He will also lead a free basketball mini-clinic for the boys and girls in attendance before the game.

"Partnering with champion and NBA veteran Christian Laettner helps us to further establish the credibility of our franchise," said Mark King, Owner and President of the Flight. "It's an honor and a privilege to work with Christian and his Academy, and share the opportunity both he and the Flight are bringing to central Florida."

"Being able to share some of the basketball knowledge that I have been blessed with in my career through my new basketball academy has been very rewarding," said Laettner. I'm looking forward to working with Mark and the Florida Flight this season!"

Details about upcoming Laettner basketball camps will be announced in the coming weeks. Target dates are during the summer months after school lets out.
