(Orlando, FL) - The Florida Flight are pleased to announce a partnership with Central Florida Hoops (CFH). CFH operates multiple basketball leagues for all ages, and has a partnership with the Junior Magic that includes more than 32 teams.

"It's always been our vision to attach ourselves with a youth league," said Flight President Mark King. "This partnership with CFH is the accomplishment of another one of our goals as a franchise."

Jamie Newman, Founder of Central Florida Hoops, sees the partnership as a way to expand CFH into a premier adult basketball league.

"We want to become the premier recreational league in Central Florida," said Newman. "Partnering with a classy, professional organization like the Flight bolsters our prestige and relevance."

CFH runs youth leagues year-round, and is expanding to offer an adult league in November of this year. A key segment of the partnership includes the replacement of Flight free agent tryout camps with a league-based option, allowing for a lengthy scouting and evaluation process.

"It is difficult to legitimately assess talent in a one-day camp," said King. "This format gives players much more value for their application fee, and affords them more of an opportunity to make an impression on us."

CFH has quickly become one of the fastest growing, well-respected local basketball organizations in Central Florida. On October 14, 2010, CFH's summer season All-Stars were the first Junior Magic-affiliated league to play at the New Amway Center. The winter All-Stars will play at halftime in December when the Flight host the Palm Beach Titans in an exhibition game benefiting Toys for Tots. Further details regarding this game will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Players desiring an opportunity to play with the Flight are encouraged to register for the new CFH adult league.
