Flight Announces June Basketball Camp For Kids

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 28, 2003 â The Huntsville Flight will hold a camp designed to help youngsters improve on their basketball fundamentals June 23-26 at the Optimist Recreation Center (703 Oakwood Ave.).
The Flight coaches headline a solid group of instructors that will allow kids 7-15 the opportunity to focus on fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and work ethic. In addition, each child will be placed in groups according to their age, size and ability.
"Our commitment to conducting the best fundamental basketball camp in the state of Alabama is second only to having as much fun as possible," Flight head coach Ralph Lewis said. "We want this camp to be a great experience for those youngsters who attend and to have greater understanding and enjoyment of the game of basketball."
Cost of the camp is $60 and includes a Flight Camp T-shirt, a game ticket to the team's 2003-04 home opener and complimentary admission to the Cosmo Kids Club. The price is $55 for two or more children from the same family. Registration deadline is June 16.
The camp is presented by Food World and Hershey's.
