Flame Announce Radio Broadcast Affiliations For 2005-06 Season

FORT MYERS, Fla., November 18 - The Florida Flame, presented by Century 21 Sunbelt Realty, has announced its radio broadcast partnership with the Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc. and WJYO 91.5 Kingdom FM to broadcast all 48 Flame games during the 2005-06 NBA Development League season. Sportsradio 770 ESPN will air a total of 20 Flame games, while 91.5 Kingdom FM will broadcast a total of 28 Flame games during the upcoming D-League campaign.

In addition, Sportsradio 770 will serve as the flagship station for the Florida Flame Coaches Show on selected Wednesday nights during the season at 7:00 p.m. The one-hour, talk show will be hosted by Flame play-by-play broadcaster Tim Becwar and Florida Head Coach Jeff Malone, featuring live interviews with Flame players and coaches along with local media and D-League personalities. The Florida Flame Coaches Show debuts on Wednesday, November 23 with the remaining shows set for November 30, December 14, January 4, January 11, February 8, February 22, March 15, and March 29.

The Flame open their 2005-06 game broadcast schedule on 91.5 Kingdom FM next Friday, November 25 as Florida squares off against the Roanoke Dazzle in the Flame's season opener at Germain Arena. The pre-game show is set for 6:45 p.m. EST with tip-off at 7:05 p.m. Tim Becwar and Nick Krueger will provide the call and analysis as the Flame tips off its second season in Southwest Florida.

The Flame open their game broadcast schedule on Sportsradio 770 on Thursday, December 8 as Florida travels to take on the Fort Worth Flyers at 8:05 p.m. EST. The pre-game show is set for 7:45 p.m. with tip-off at 8:05 p.m.

"We are very excited to team up with Flame this year, especially with their new affiliations with the NBA's Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Orlando Magic," said Gentry Thomas, Sportsradio 770 Program Director. "Some of the best players in basketball will be performing in our backyard this year and as the Florida Flame continues to grow we want to be there."

The Florida Flame is the official D-League affiliate of the NBA's Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Orlando Magic. Showcasing the best young talent in professional basketball outside of the NBA, the Flame will play a 48-game schedule during the 2005-06 season with 23 home games at Germain Arena. Led by a group of local investors, the Flame is entering its second season of providing affordable, family entertainment to sports fans throughout Southwest Florida.
