Friday, April 7, 2006 vs Fort Wayne Fort Wayne 6 Flags 3
Port Huron - The Fort Wayne Komets defeated the Port Huron Flags 6-3 in front of 2,035 fans at McMorran Arena on Friday night.
Josh Tataryn scored first, his second goal of the season, at 8:39 to put the Komets up 1-0 to end the first period.
Shayne Tomlinson answered at 2:04 in the second with his third goal on the season to tie the game 1-1.
Colin Chaulk and Jonathan Goodwin each scored to put the Komets up 3-1 before Tomlinson scored again, his fourth of the year to bring the Flags within one to end the second.
Jamie Milam and P.C. Drouin each scored within the first few minutes of the third to give the Komets a 5-2 lead before Brett Lutes, back from a knee injury, scored his 16th powerplay goal of the season, his 23rd goal of the year, at 7:05 in the third to make it 5-3 Komets.
Rob Guinn sealed the win for Fort Wayne with his seventh goal on the season at 13:25 to make it 6-3 in favor of the Komets.

Kalamazoo - The Kalamazoo Wings shut out the Port Huron Flags 9-0 at Wings Stadium on Saturday night.
Kory Karlander scored a hat trick to tie him for first in UHL game high powerplay goals with three.
Also scoring for the Wings were Lee Ruff with his seventh of the season, Lucas Drake with his 35th goal, Nick Bootland with his 38th, Damien Surma with his 26th, Tyler Willis with his 20th and Wings point-leader Jason Dietch with his 36th of the season.
Jeremy Symington earned 47 saves in the loss to the Kalamazoo Wings.

The Motor City Mechanics return to McMorran Arena this Friday before the Flags head to Fraser on Saturday to face them in their barn. Both games are scheduled for a 7:30 pm faceoff. Be sure to wear your beach apparel to McMorran Arena on Friday and receive $3 off your ticket purchase. The flags are 2-5-1 against the Mechanics.

Aaron Brand, Sean Regan and Jaakko Kallio remain on Injured Reserve. Brent Sullivan has been activated from suspension and will return to face the Motor City Mechanics for the last two games of the year.

Brett Lutes leads the team with 51 points (23g, 28a). He still leads the league in shootout goals with nine.
Aaron Brand (IR) is tied for first in UHL game high powerplay goals with three.
Scott Hay leads the league in shootout wins with nine and is second in the UHL with 1,755 saves.
