Friday, Mar. 3 Port Huron 2 @ Rockford 3
The IceHogs took the first lead, but Colt King tied it up in the second period. Rockford then netted two consecutive tallies to go ahead 3-1. Scott Wray found the net in the third, but time ran out before the Flags could knot the score again.
Saturday, Mar. 4 Port Huron 4 @ Fort Wayne 0
Colt King, Greg Bullock, Steve Hildenbrand and Ryan Markham all contributed a goal as Dustin Traylen stuffed the Komets all night long to collect his 4th shut-out of the year.
Sunday, Mar. 5
Mark Cadotte put the Flags up by one, but Elmira evened the tables. Greg Bullock reclaimed the lead until the Jackals struck again. Scott Wray and Colt King took the next two tallies for the Flags, and Cadotte snagged an empty-netter to seal the game.

Greg recorded 5 points (2g, 3a) and a positive rating this week. He is riding a 6-game point streak that started on Feb. 17 against Bloomington. His points earned him 2nd Star honors on Sunday's game. Currently leading the Flags in scoring, Greg's contributions have been critical to Port Huron's offensive strikes.

Dustin guarded the red pipes for all 3 of the Flags' games this week. He was named 3rd Star of the Game in Rockford on Friday. His performance on Saturday was his 4th shut-out of the season, and his second in Fort Wayne, where he again earned 1st Star honors. Dustin is 4-1-0 in his last 5 games, is ranked 5th in the league in goalie leaders and is tied for second in number of shut-outs.
Team Notes
- Port Huron's 22nd win of the season on Saturday (in conjunction with 6 shoot-out losses) gave the team its 50th point of the season, setting a franchise record. The previous club high (49) was set in 2005-06.
- For the first time in club history, the Flags shut out the same team in consecutive contests, when they beat Fort Wayne 4-0 on Saturday. Port Huron blanked the Komets last Friday, Feb. 23 (2-0)
- Beating Elmira on Sunday moved the Flags past the Jackals and out of last place in the Eastern Conference, as well as into 7th in the league.
- In addition to his 2 assists on Saturday night, defenseman Chris Bogas was on the ice for all four of the Flags tallies, earning a perfect +4 rating on the night.
- McMorran's crowd of 2,332 on Mar. 4 eclipsed the mark for the largest Sunday crowd of the season.
