
Five Titans Tabbed All-IFL

Cedar Rapids, IA - With the conclusion of the regular season, the Indoor Football League's annual awards season has started with today's announcement of the 2016 All-IFL teams which include five players of the Cedar Rapids Titans.
Defensive lineman Xzavie Jackson and Jermiah Price have both been named First Team All-IFL for the second consecutive season. Jackson, the IFL's career sacks leader, led the league in sacks this season with 14.5 (72.5 career sacks). Price was second in the league in both sacks (13) and tackles for loss (24) this season while Price was third in tackles for loss with 22. This year marks Jackon's fifth All-IFL award (four First Team, one Second Team) and Price's third (two First Team, one Second Team).
Kicker Nick Belcher, linebacker Niko Sierra, and offensive lineman AJ Harmon each earned their first All-IFL honor by finding their way onto the 2016 Second Team All-IFL list.
Belcher, a rookie in indoor football, broke two team records (points scored - 149; field goals made - 29) this season while ranking near the top in virtually every kicking category league-wide, leading the league in field goals made.
Sierra finished third among all defensive players in tackles (102.5) and help anchor a staunch Titans' defense that finished second in rush defense (57.7 yards/gm) and pass defense (142.3).
Harmon, also in his second year, was the only starting offensive lineman to return from last season's unit and anchored an offensive line that allowed 1,271 rushing yards and 42 rushing touchdowns.
Cedar Rapids hosts the Wichita Falls Nighthawks in the United Conference first round playoff game on Saturday, July 9 at the U.S. Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids. Kickoff is slated for 7:05 p.m. and tickets can be purchased in person at the U.S. Cellular Center Box Office or online at www.ticketmaster.com. The winner of the first round game will go on the play the reigning IFL champion Sioux Falls Storm in the United Conference Championship game on Saturday, July 13.
