2016 ALL-IFL Teams Announced

The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the 2016 All-IFL First and Second Team selections.

The Sioux Falls Storm finished the 2016 season with a league best 15-1 record and lead the IFL with seven selections to the all-league teams. Stalwart Offensive Linemen Myniya Smith and Charlie Sanders paved the way for the Storm's league-leading rushing attack and have each been named to their sixth consecutive First Team All-IFL list. Joining Smith and Sanders on the First Team list are DL Brandon Peguese, LB Tyler Knight and KR Korey Williams. Knight led the IFL in tackles (169) while Williams led IFL in kick return touchdowns (6). DL Claude Davis and DB Elijah Fields each earned Second Team Honors.

In their first year of IFL play the Spokane Empire earned six selections to the All-IFL list. Explosive rookie RB Trevor Kennedy has been named First Team All-IFL after leading the IFL in rushing touchdowns with 28. OL Dave Lefotu paved the way for Kennedy and has also been honored with First-Team accolades. After leading the Empire in tackles (104) and interceptions (7) DB Robert Brown earned First Team honors. QB Charles Dowdell, DL Benjamin Perry and LB Nick Haag all take home Second Team honors.

The Cedar Rapids Titans and the Wichita Falls Nighthawks each placed five players on the All-IFL teams in 2016.

For the Titans, the team's ferocious pass rushing duo of DL Xzavie Jackson and DL Jermiah Price each earned First Team honors after combining for 27.5 sacks in 2015. OL A.J Harmon, LB Nikolas Sierra and four-time IFL Special Teams Player of the Week Nicholas Belcher earn Second Team honors.

Wichita Falls boasted one of the most dynamic offenses in the IFL in 2016 and tied for the league lead with three First Team selections. QB Charles McCullum, who threw for a league-record 11 touchdown passes in the Nighthawks final regular season game, and WR Jordan Jolly both take home a First Team honor. Kicker Rockne Belmonte also takes home a First Team honor after scoring the most points among kickers (176). RB Tyler Williams and DL Walter Thomas take home Second Team selections

The Colorado Crush displayed some of the top individual talent in the IFL in 2016 and had three players selected to the All-IFL list. Both WR Demarius Washington and DB Rashard Smith were named to the First Team All-IFL list. Washington set a new IFL single season receiving record with 1223 yards while Smith tied for the IFL lead with ten interceptions. OL James Atoe was named as a Second Team honoree.

Five teams each placed two players on the All-IFL teams in 2016.

In the Intense Conference, Billings Wolves DB Michael Green followed up his 2015 First Team Selection with another First Team selection in 2016. He is joined by fellow teammate OL Nathaniel Ryan who was named as a Second Team selection. Nebraska Danger rookie DB Jabari Gorman takes home a First Team selection while veteran WR O.J Simpson was named to the Second Team. Throughout the season, the Tri-Cities Fever had one of the stoutest defensive backfields in the IFL and DB Boubcar Cissoko and Dee Maggitt Jr. both take home a Second Team selection.

In the United Conference both the Green Bay Blizzard and the Iowa Barnstormers placed two players on the All-IFL lists. Blizzard WR Markeith Summers, who led the IFL in touchdown receptions (26), earns a Second Team honor, as does KR Chevelle Buie. The Iowa Barnstormers one of the top ranked passing attacks in the IFL and the league has honored both WR Brady Roland and WR Bryan Pray for their contributions. Roland takes home a First Team honor while Pray earns a Second Team selection.
