Torrington Titans News Release
Several 2015 Titans players picked up All-Conference recognition this past week when teams were announced. In total, five players from this summer's team claimed an All-Conference award.
From the Northeast Conference, a pair of Titans were named to the second team. Infielder Joel Roman (Fairleigh Dickinson) took home second team DH honors, while pitcher Brett Susi (CCSU) claimed second team honors as well.
From the North Coast Athletic Conference, senior Kyle Decker (Oberlin) was named All-Conference honorable mention as a second baseman. Decker returns to Torrington as an assistant coach after his senior season at Oberlin.
First baseman Shawn Blake (Albany) was a unanimous selection on the America East All-Rookie team.
Freshman outfield Brendan Pierce (Trinity) was one of two freshmen to receive an All-Conference selection, as he was chosen as a second team performer in the Northeast Small College Athletic Conference.  Â
The first chance to see these All-Conference performers in action for the Titans will be June 4, as the Titans host the Pittsfield Suns on opening night at Fuessenich Park.
