1. How much energy will the Silver Knights have? Back-to-back games on the road in consecutive days is tough on any team, so Syracuse knows it has to step up its performance against Chicago. After battling the Wave in Milwaukee last night, tonight's match will test the fitness and depth of the Silver Knights.
2. Can the Mustangs keep closing out opponents? Chicago will be the more rested team, playing at home against a team with a sub .500 record. These are the kinds of games good teams should win. Chicago has done well, so far, but how will they respond to an opponent desperate for a road win.
3. Los Jugadores de Mexico Chicago features one of the more famous players in the MASL, Midfielder Luis Alonso 'Negro' Sandoval, who is renown for having played for the Mexican National Team, El Tri.
Syracuse also features players from Mexico, including Moises Gonzalez, Diego Rodriguez and goalkeeper Enrique Orozco. The players from South of the border could well decide the match.
4. Back to .500 or in a deeper hole? After Syracuse's victory last night against Milwaukee, today's match represents a chance to either get back to .500 for Syracuse or avoid a 2-4 start to the season.
On the flip side, a victory would put Chicago three games over .500. It's a pivotal match for both clubs very early in the season.
5. The possibility of new faces Syracuse still has a few players yet to take the field this season: Ben Ramin, Vittorio Petrera and goalie Enrique Orozco. With back-to-back games, don't be surprised if one of these players finds his name on the game day roster.
