August 12, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release

The Augusta Lynx have added some experience on the blue line by agreeing to terms with defenseman Shaun Fisher for the 2005-06 Season.

Carrying a total of 234 games of pro experience, the 26-year-old rearguard spent last season with the Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League. While there he scored 11 goals and registered 33 points and 70 PIMs in 65 games, followed by two goals and four points in six post-season contests.

No stranger to the ECHL, the Detroit, Michigan native started his pro career with the Florida Everblades in 2001-02, and also played for the Greenville Grrrowl, Trenton Titans, Texas Wildcatters, and Roanoke Express. The 5-11, 170 lb. Fisher has collected 25 goals and 96 points over the course of his career.

"Fisher is the type of player who can control the flow of a game with his puck control," said Lynx head coach Bob Ferguson. "Plus his experience on defense will be extremely helpful for our younger players."

Fisher now brings to six the number of players signed to the Lynx for 2005-06, along with: Jake Riddle, Brian Passmore, Jimmy Callahan, Ken Scuderi, Ryan Lang, and Chris Chaput.
