
Fisher Cats win again, beat Binghamton 6-2

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Second baseman Carlo Cota and designated hitter Kevin Barker each had three hits as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats opened a seven-game roadtrip with a 6-2 win in Binghamton Thursday night.
Cota (3-for-4, 2 RBI) tripled home Vito Chiaravollotti (2-for-4, 2 doubles, 2 R) with the first Fisher Cat run in a four-run fifth inning. Barker, left fielder Ron Acuna and catcher Erik Kratz all had RBI ¬â¢s in the inning off Met reliever Erik Junge (1-1).
Cota also had an RBI single in the 6th inning driving home Chiaravollotti, who had doubled down the left field line.
Brad Hassey drove in New Hampshire ¬â¢s sixth run with an RBI double in the eighth inning.
Vince Perkins (1-0) allowed one run over 6 innings to pick up his first victory. He allowed four hits, one walk and 7 strikeouts. Bubbie Buzachero and Ryan Houston worked in relief for the Fisher Cats.
Bobby Malek had both RBI ¬â¢s for the Mets, driving in third baseman Jay Caliguiri, who had two doubles.
The Fisher Cats and Mets play again tomorrow night at 7pm. Righty Cam Reimers (1-0) goes for New Hampshire against righty Matt Lindstrom (0-1).
New Hampshire returns home to Fisher Cats Ballpark to play the Mets next Thursday, April 21.
