LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Lakewood BlueClaws, along with Kean University, will host the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Regional of the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship at FirstEnergy Park from May 13th - May 17th. Games will be played beginning at 10 a.m. on each day, leading into a 12 pm regional final on May 17th.

General Admission tickets to the event are available for purchase in person at the BlueClaws box office for $6 for adults and $3 for juniors, seniors and students with a valid student ID. Tickets purchased for one game are good for all the games on that date. Teams for the regional will not be known until after games this weekend.

"We're excited to be able to fill the void between BlueClaws homestands with the NCAA Division III Regionals," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "There will be great competition here all week and it's a great reason to come out to the ballpark when the BlueClaws are on the road."

This year's championship will consist of 54 teams divided into eight regionals. Three regionals will host eight teams while five will have six teams.

Kean University is located about one hour north of FirstEnergy Park and will serve as the host university to the regional. They are past winners of the Division III Baseball Championships, having won in 2007.
