Indiana Ice News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice look to pad their Eastern Conference points lead with a trio of weekend contests starting Friday (2/7) at the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders before a Youngstown Phantoms double feature on Saturday (2/8) and Sunday (2/9). Saturday's "Scout Night" contest will be played from Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 7:05 PM while Youngstown hosts Sunday's match from the Covelli Centre.

Indiana (24-7-6) looks to return to form after a topsy-turvy weekend that saw a 4-1 victory over Team USA U-17's Thursday night at Pan Am Pavilion and a 2-1 loss at the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Saturday.

Denis Smirnov (1A, 1G) and Austin Kosack (2A) enjoyed two point games in Thursday's win, while netminder Hayden Stewart stopped 33 of 34 shots and posted a .953 save percentage in his third appearance. Saturday's match in Muskegon saw the fourth goal in five games for Dwyer Tschantz and Smirnov's fourth assist in five games.

Friday marks the seventh and final meeting of the regular season between the Ice and Cedar Rapids. Indiana is 3-0-3 against the RoughRiders, with Cedar Rapids claiming a 2-1 overtime win in the most recent matchup that halted a franchise-record road win-streak at nine games. Forward Scott Conway tops all Ice scorers with six points (4G, 2A) and netminder Jason Pawloski has a 1.77 GAA and .913 save percentage in six starts against the RoughRiders.

Indiana has seen similar success against Youngstown through six of ten games this season, owning a record of 4-0-2 against the Phantoms. Jason Salvaggio has four goals against the Phantoms while team points-leader Conway has eight points (2G, 6A) in the season series.

Saturday night's contest at Bankers Life Fieldhouse is "Scout Night", in a game presented by Reis-Nichols Jewelers. All scouts who attend the game will receive a free gift and are invited to enjoy special pre- and post-game activities at Bankers Life.

Group tickets are now on sale for all 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. Flex packages and additional ticket packages are available starting as low as $50. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
