CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago Fire (7-3-7, 28 pts.) defeated the San Jose Earthquakes (3-10-4, 13 pts.) tonight at TOYOTA PARK with goals from forward Patrick Nyarko and Fire designated player Cuauhtémoc Blanco. Fire goalkeeper Jon Busch recorded his fifth shutout of the season, his third at TOYOTA PARK. The Fire will return to MLS action on Saturday, July 25 when the team travels to Seattle to face the Sounders at Qwest Field (2 p.m. CT, ESPN).
