North Iowa Outlaws News Release
Mason City (IA) There are some things, such as the emotions on one's wedding day or that feeling at college graduation, that have an aura of anticipation but until it actually arrives it's a concept that one's mind is unable to comprehend. One could argue that is the same feeling many North Iowa Outlaws fans have in regards to the team's new dance team which will become even more of a reality after Wednesday. Once a concept, is now beginning to develop an actuality.
The Outlaws' dance team will hold tryouts on Wednesday at 6pm at the Mason City Holiday Inn. There is no charge to audition, nor is pre-registration required. All participants should bring their own music and chorography to dance to. Dance team coordinator Jami Hepperly will conduct the audition.
"There has already been plenty of interest in the team and we've been hearing from numerous people interested in auditioning so this should be exciting" said Outlaws' general manager Steve Strasheim.
Dancers selected will be paid on a per game basis, with the first game the dancers will be performing at coming up in October. Dancers will also take part in various team community projects.
The Outlaws play their first home game on Friday September 26th versus the expansion Owatonna Express at 7:30pm.
The North Iowa Outlaws Hockey Club is in its fourth season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 33nd year of operation. For more information, visit northiowaoutlaws.com or call (641) 424-5468.
