Florida Firecats News Release
Estero, FL- The Firecats announced their game against the Arkansas Twister will be played as scheduled on Saturday night at Germain Arena.
The Germain Arena and Firecats officials made this decision based on the information they received from the Lee County Emergency Operations Center regarding Hurricane Dennis.
"The information we received from the EOC makes us feel that it is safe and responsible to play the game as scheduled," Firecats President/GM Chris Vallozzi said.
"We at the league obviously do not want to put anyone in danger and from the information we received, we support the Firecats' decision in playing the game as scheduled," President of Af2 Jerry Kurz said.
"The EOC said the winds should only be about 20-25 miles per hour, with a slight rain, so we think it should be safe to play," Vice President of Operations at Germain Arena Steve St. John said.
