Firecats Gain Spot In Coaches Poll

Estero, FL- The Firecats moved up one spot to #3 in this week's Coaches Poll following their most recent win, 69-63 over Amarillo. The Memphis Xplorers held on to the No.1 ranking garnering 216 of 228 possible points, this is the second consecutive week that Memphis has been voted into the top spot.

The No.2 spot goes to Manchester who is just four points behind Memphis with 212 points including six first-place votes. Receiving one first place tally and securing the No.3 ranking despite a win already this year over Manchester, the Florida Firecats received 192 points.

The 2004 ArenaCup Champion Florida Firecats will be at home again this week when they host their South Division rivals the 1-7 Birmingham Steeldogs. Last week the Steeldogs picked up their 1st win knocking off the then 3rd ranked Green Bay Blizzard.

This weeks Game Day program will feature Roy "Snake" Stabler who recorded his 300th career tackle last week, making him the 1st player to accomplish the feat in league history. All proceeds raised from the sale of the programs goes to help bring kids from Big Brothers, Big Sisters to Firecats home games.
