Firebirds Name Kolner Interim General Manager

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Firebirds' Owner Dave Lageschulte has appointed John Kolner Interim General Manager effective immediately, the Arena Football League Team announced today. Kolner replaces Joe Hennessy, who had recently resigned as General Manager to pursue other opportunities
Kolner recently finished his eighth season in the Firebirds organization and second as the team's Assistant General Manager. In that role, Kolner oversaw all aspects of salary cap administration and team business operations. He was also responsible for administering the team's marketing, promotions and advertising campaigns. Prior to being named Assistant General Manager, Kolner spent four seasons as Vice President of Operations, where he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Firebirds.
Lageschulte expects to name a permanent replacement for Hennessy in the next 30 days.
