Q: Which AFL quarterback has impressed you the most throughout your career?

KALEO: I'd say SHERDRICK BONNER (Arizona Rattlers QB). He and I started at around the same time. He's a class act, plus he's a model football player and citizen for the League.

Q: Who's been the best player you've ever played against?

KALEO: In the AFL, it would be KENNY Mc ENTYRE (Orlando Predators defensive specialist). He really knows the game and understands the angles really well. I've really been impressed with the way he plays.

Q: What has been your most memorable moment in the AFL?

KALEO: I'd say it's probably winning it all (ArenaBowl XVII) last season. Not only winning the championship, but also beating Orlando in the Semifinals to get into the title game was a great feeling. It would be tough to beat that three-week period from a professional standpoint.

Q: What has been your most embarrassing moment in the AFL?

KALEO: In 1993, I was with the Albany Firebirds and the ball slipped out of my hand while I was trying to pass. I grabbed it at the same time as Tampa Bay's ANDRE BOWDEN, but he took it away from me and returned it for a touchdown. It was just a really embarrassing moment.

Q: Is there a certain aspect of your game that you're trying to improve?

KALEO: I'm always trying to maintain a quick release and stay sharp. The older you get, your body starts to deteriorate easier, so you have to work harder and that's what I try to do.

Q: Who has influenced your career the most?

KALEO: The one guy who helped me the most to become the quarterback I am today is MIKE HOHENSEE. He was my junior college coach and made a great impression on me. He coached me briefly in the AFL, but it's those early years where he really helped me to become the player I am today.
