
FireAnts Ink Wray and Ferguson

TUPELO, MS--The Tupelo FireAnts are pleased to announce the signing of wide receiver David Wray and defensive back Bobby Ferguson to the 2004 lineup.
David Wray, a native of Tupelo, Mississippi, attended Itawamba Community College. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound Wray caught the eye of the FireAnts coaching staff during an open tryout held earlier in the off-season.
"David is the fastest player on our team," FireAnts Head Coach Bobby Hall said. "He has the potential to develop into a really great player with the FireAnts."
Also joining the FireAnts after attending a pre-season open tryout is Ackerman, Mississippi native Bobby Ferguson. The 5-foot-11, 178-pound Ferguson played football at Holmes Community College.
"Bobby Ferguson is a really good athlete who continues to improve with more experience," Hall said. "He played two years of football at Holmes Community College, so I see him getting better and better."
With the addition of Wray and Ferguson, the FireAnts have now signed 24 players to date, including: Joe Gunn, Pig Prather, Patrick Garth, Rico McDonald, Bobby Hill, Chris Rainey, Eric Bingham, Will Hall, Darryl Carter, Reggie Smith, David Mooneyham, Johnny Mickell, Carnell Houston, James Bridges, William Stewart, J.T. Brown, Ricky Franklin, Murry Rhodes, Kareem Vance, Antonio Peoples, Tyson Patterson, and Chris Edwards.
