
Browne Named Player of the Week

TUPELO, MS--The Tupelo FireAnts (3-8) are pleased to announce that Buster Browne has been named United Indoor Football's Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts against the Black Hills Red Dogs (1-11) on June 10th.
Browne, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound native of Gulfport, Mississippi, pulls double duty with the âAnts as both a running back and defensive back.
In the FireAnts 47-45 win over Black Hills last week, Browne carried the ball 10 times for 34 yards and three touchdowns. He also hauled in two passes for 30 yards.
The FireAnts hit the road for action against the Peoria Roughriders (3-8) tomorrow, Saturday, June 18th. Fans can listen to the game starting at 7:05pm on the FireAnts webcast, located at www.fireantsfootball.com, courtesy of Sports Juice.
Tupelo returns home on Friday, June 24th for their regular season home finale against the Evansville BlueCats. As a bonus, Armed Forces personnel that present their military ID at the BancorpSouth Center Box Office will receive one free upper level ticket, courtesy of Sonic Drive-In for this home game.
