COACH JOHNSON IS MAKING THE PLUNGE... On Saturday February 24 at 11:30 A.M. Coach Johnson will make the plunge into the Ohio River to benefit Special Olympics. Coach Johnson will join Angie Fenton, from the Courier Journal, Gary Demling and Craig Wieckel. If you would like to make a donation to the A-Team please visit www.louisvilleplunge.kintera.org/2 007/ateam. If you cannot make a donation online there is an order form you can print out and mail in.
SECOND AND FINAL TRY-OUT... The Fire will hold their second and final open try-out in preparation for the 2007 season on Saturday February 24 at 2:00 P.M. Registration will begin at 1:00 P.M. at Cardinal Stadium at the Fairgrounds.
FIRE GUYS IN THE AFL... The AFL has started training camp and the Fire has 10 former players and a coach in the AFL training camps this year. The AFL will open their season Sunday March 4 on ABC. Below is a list of players/coaches, their current AFL team and their years with the Fire.

SEASON TICKETS ARE ON SALE... Season tickets for 2007 are now on sale. You can purchase your tickets by going to the Fire's website and clicking on the season ticket link. Your season tickets will include a post game concert by the Charlie Daniels Band following the April 13 home game against Cincinnati. Season tickets also include tickets to the game at Cincinnati on June 23. Season tickets start at just $56 for all eight home games.
THE FANATICS ARE BACK... Fire fans don't forget about the Fire's official fan club the Fire Fanatics. The Fanatics are a fan based organization dedicated to supporting the Fire and helping in the community. If you would like more information on the Fire Fanatics e-mail Shireman@insightbb.com.
TWO MORE ROSTER ADDITIONS... The Fire has been assigned two more players with af2 experience in the past week. Jason Ferguson, a fullback/linebacker, will return to the Fire after stints in the AFL with Grand Rapids and Dallas. Ferguson played for the Fire in 2004 and saw action in 14 games. Ferguson tallied 13 tackles, five and half tackles for a loss, four sacks and seven hurries. Timothy Long, offensive/defensive line, was also added to the roster last week. Long spent the 2003 and 2004 seasons with Memphis. In that time Long amassed 15 tackles, two tackles for a loss and three sacks.
