Fire hire team's first head coach

Rochester, MN. The ABA Rochester Fire expansion team that begins play in November has announced the hiring of Herb Hofer as the team's first Head Coach. Herb has served as an Assistant Head Coach with the Rochester Skeeters, an assistant with the Minot Skybears, an assistant at East Texas State University and at Luther College. He brings twenty plus years of coaching experience at the collegiate and minor-league basketball level.

News media, including television stations and all local print media attended a press conference at which the announcement was made.
